  1. Great tute – and tip using the water!

  2. well, after reading the tute again, I am confused about where you put the water droplet? on the tabletop beside the firebrick, not on the firebrick? how does that water help with the solder? do you dip the solder into the water?

    Again, thanks for the tute!

  3. Thank you so much for the tutorial, Barrie! This is a great gift!!!! ♥♥♥

  4. Is anyone else not seeing it? all I have is a large gray spot on the screen where the tutorial should be. I have tried in several browsers now. 🙁

  5. As always Barrie, you are a fabulous and generous teacher. Thanks for the tut!!!!

  6. Linda, the water drop goes on the table beside the fire brick. You dip the piece of solder in the water drop then put it on the hot piece where you want the solder to go. The little bit if water on the solder holds the piece of solder exactly where you put it (friction?). If you don’t use water, the solder might slide all over the place. It’s just a little cheat I use to hold solder in place when I’m soldering.
